With a thriving community and easy access to major transportation routes, there are many different arts and entertainment events in Denville and in the surrounding area. Here are some of the best events happening this summer around town!
Project Playground 2.0 Kids Sports Fair
Project Playground 2.0 is an initiative powered by the love of volunteering and passion for the Denville community. Its goal is to raise enough money to update the playground at Gardner Field for kids of all ages to enjoy. They will be having fundraisers all summer long, including a Kids Sports Fair on August 20th at Gardner Field. Be sure to bring your family to support the community!
The Denville Beautification Committee meets all year long, with its mission being to make Denville even more beautiful than it already is! Whether you have a green thumb or you want to learn how to plant a beautiful garden, this hands on volunteer committee is always looking for new members.
Denville Farmers’ Market
In its sixth year, the Denville Farmers’ Market is more popular than ever before! Enjoy fresh produce and exchanging recipes with your neighbors every Sunday until November 22nd at the Bloomfield Ave. parking lot in downtown Denville. Their new Reuse, Recycle, Remarket campaign will encourage visitors to be more sustainable, whether that means biking to the market (Estling Village residents can rent a Zagster bike) or using reusable bags for their fresh produce.
Early Newcomb Pottery From the Barbara and Henry Fuldner Collection
With over 25 examples of Newcomb Pottery from the past three decades, this exhibit will be on view in the Log House at the Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms until November 6th. Enjoy the work of a dozen decorators and explore the connections between two contemporaneous Arts and Crafts enterprises. Located less than 10 minutes away in Morris Plains, this museum is the perfect day trip!
